AI is already implemented in various industries. Even across the sciences it is a useful tool especially for getting some quick code to copy and paste instead of searching for it in your own script. Machine learning and AI are being developed to support species identification such as in fish farming to help check health of fish and estimate the biomass and growth of fish without having to net them out.
